Those that know the GENESIS of HOFWIC will totally understand this blog with easy ; and for those that joined us in the EXODUS might need a background.
a brief background; HOFWIC started from this hospital JINJA MAIN HOSPITAL after the loss of our baby from this very hospital;that's why this hospital is very important to this ministry. God showed me what was happening at the hospital and how the very needy mothers and their babies were in so much pain and He told me I had to go back there. so I did and HOFWIC STARTED.
LAST YEAR THERE WAS A NEW ADMINISTRATION AT THE HOSPITAL WHICH DIDN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT US SO THEY MADE IT REALLY HARD FOR US TO DELIVER OUR SERVICES EVEN THOUGH IT WAS VERY MUCH NEEDED. BUT NOW THIS YEAR THERE IS A NEW ADMINISTRATION THAT IS WELCOMING TO US.THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS REOPENED THE DOORS WIDER FOR US. WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO SERVE AGAIN ALONGSIDE OUR HOSPITAL STAFF.
SO THIS MORNING I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE HOSPITAL THAT I WAS NEEDED THERE. Yes ;sure ;we were needed. We have 4 cases that need our help. And all 4 mothers are septic now, with two of them having to go back to the theatre and get operated upon again because their wounds went so so bad. these mothers are all Caesarean mothers.
Juliet is 28 years old; she had a rupture and lost her baby. Juliet is still grieving and as though that is not enough; she has no money to buy medication; her Caesarean wound is septic now and needs much stronger antibiotics which will cost 28,000shillings which is roughly 9$ a bottle and she needs 3 bottles per day totalling to 27$ and other 2 other drugs along side that; she has starved for the past 4 days,no food,she can't afford to bye food,or a drink. so roughly Juliet needs 42$ to be able to receive all her treatment fully and also eat and drink : So for the next 5 days we need 210$ to help Juliet.

Meet Mwajuma; 15years old. and her baby girl. Her baby has nothing to put on;her wound is septic too and needs to be taken back to theatre to have another surgery because the wound is totally open and so septic. she is in so much pain.she needs the same drugs as Juliet only that she needs also going to theatre. she needs feeding; and has no support at all. Mwajuma needs approximetly 340$ |
| little angel born 2 weeks ago but has never had clothes on. Because they do not have any baby cloth. so they only wrap her up in bedsheets. so tomorrow we will deliver clothes to her. I have only shared 2 pictures because Only remembered to take pictures after i was done with praying and counseling with the mothers. but the other 2 mothers are Habibah ; whose baby has developed an infection and also under treatment in the ICU and Rosette who also has a very bad sepsis and I found her screaming,crying as they were pressing out puss from her wound: they each need the same antibiotics as Juliet.
