THE HOME (WE ARE READY NOW)

Hope Teenage Mothers Home
When The Lord put it on my heart to start Hope For Women In Crisis; I hardly had a clear picture of what exactly I was going in for and how it was going to work out. As I set off to the hospital on my first day there to serve the women; I thought i was only going to serve the grieving mothers since that was what brought about this ministry in the first place, and when i showed up at the hospital, there was sure a serious case of a 17 year old girl who had lost her baby the previous night, but they didn’t have transport to take the body of the baby for burial. Thank God I had some money and helped them take the body to the village, but this girl also had no food, no medication.

The next day I found another 16 year old mother abandoned with her new born baby. Sadly this became the most common cases I am to meet for the rest of the time I go to the hospital. After a few months of the ministry; I met a 14 year old mother, who told me she didn’t know where to go with her baby because her family had rejected her and the boy who made her pregnant told her never to think he is the one that made her pregnant because as far as he is concerned, he is infertile. I thought so hard about what to do until my head ached. I was not able to help this girl in this situation and this increased the burden on my heart about these unwed teenage pregnant girls. I took my pen and book, sat down and begun writing about this home for the teenage pregnant girls. The budget was so big that it scared me deep into my belly, and I felt butterflies flying in my belly. I gathered my strength and said;’Father, i know and believe You alone can do this’

moving stuff into the home.
A few weeks later I was called to the hospital for another case and this was Christine, the 15 year old who had been brought to the hospital by good Samaritans, she was operated and had her baby, but she had nowhere to go to because she was an orphan and was a house maid to someone before she got raped and made pregnant, then thrown out of her mistress’s house. When I went to talk to Christine, she told me ‘Auntie please do not leave me.’ Her cry woke up this long awaited dream and vision that I believe is God given. I talked to a few friends who were around for their short time mission to Uganda, and they helped me raise some money that was enough for me to rent a small room for Christine and her baby, and buy a few stuff for her to start a life alone with her baby, this was the first time ever Christine slept on a bed, and a proper bed. The joy on Christine’s face and shortly she begun opening up to me and telling me her story. This was her healing. I thank all my friends that helped me take care of Christine and baby John. Because of your help, I was able to send Christine for tailoring course and got her a sewing machine too. John is now 1 year and 3 months old and a big boy.

This dream and vision stayed on my heart and on the paper until a friend asked me to write him all about my ministry so their organisation could help apply for a grant, this gave me the chance to share about this vision, though the grant didn’t go through, it helped me remember and start praying about it.

these are the beds.
This year God divinely sent another friend to volunteer with me, and during her time of volunteering, we encountered so many teenage mothers and most of them were 13years old, 14years old and 15 years old. One evening as we visited after our hospital ministry, she asked me what i am thinking about this ministry, and for the very first time shared this dear dream with someone, and told her plainly @ I am setting up a home for the unwed Teenage Pregnant girls that have been abandoned. And she told me ,that is exactly what she felt God telling her I should do.Tadaaaah. That was it, and God has miraculously provided through this one individual lady and a friend to help me start this home. Now we are ready and one mother and her twins are already in the house.yeeeeees. Victor and her twins ( John Mark and Grace)

This home is a rehabilitation centre for these traumatized teenagers for their transition into parenting but also to help they fit back into the society.

To keep this home running we need your donations and come and volunteer with us too. you can come and stay right at the home as you serve and love these mothers and their babies.

You can also sponsor a mother and her baby, that is to help them eat, baby diapers, and all other baby needs, but we also train these girls to become self sustaining ,by equipping them with skills that will help them earn a living and take care of their baby. This we do in various areas such as Tailoring, craft work, jewelry making, computer skills, baking, and some of them we need to take them back to school for farther studying if they are willing. These help them fit back in the society.
For now, we can accommodate 4 pregnant girls and when their babies come, we can still accommodate 4 girls with their babies.

We teach them life skills to help them heal from their pain and to make better decisions in the future. ABOVE ALL THESE AND MORE, WE HELP THEM KNOW THE LOVE OF CHRIST AND COME TO HIM WITH ALL THEIR HEARTS.

And you can help us do this.
