IS THIS WOMAN IN CRISIS????

I am always getting overwhelmed at what all this is about.I don't even know what to say anymore,because what I thought I meant by CRISIS is exploding more and more and I am wondering.

It is 10:30pm and I was already asleep,I picked the phone and it was Agnes Twoli ,the director of Womenfirst ,my friend and co worker,I volunteer in her organisation which helps also empower women in living sustainable lives.I wondered why she was calling me that time,because it is very unusual of her calling me at night,she sounded sad and shocked at the same time.She apologized for calling that late and then she tells me something like "WE HAVE A LADY IN CRISIS HERE"I sobered immediately,and sat ,she went on:" this lady is in serious pain,"and I was literally hearing someone screaming at the back and I wondered what was happening,I asked her if I could see her the next day.
The next day I went to the village outside Jinja town called Namulesa where the offices of womenfirst are,and Agnes briefed me about this "Lady" called Rita Namakika,here is a brief story of Rita

Rita is 17 years old and dropped out of school three years back due to lack of tuition fees. Her father and mother divorced ,the mother got married to another  man who  has a wife and children.

Rita's mother is a housewife,so Rita went to her father who is a fisherman and while she was there                                         another fisherman got her pregnant and she was sent back to her mother, now two weeks back she had her baby boy,thank God the baby is alive and kicking. Rita's baby's father rejected them and told her never to go back to the island where he lives, he told her that he was going to send her help,which he has never sent. Rita has developed serious infections in her breasts and no one knows what they are but they look horrible.Her breasts now each weigh about two kilograms and it has serious wounds all over the nipples,she cant feed her baby,and she is screaming most of the times. The sight is terrible,looking at her small body and all that she is carrying. Rita's mama,cant afford to take her to the hospital and so they are home in pain and she is using herbs on the open wound ignorantly hoping it will heal.wow!
Agnes managed to get her some antibiotics as she could afford,but Rita needs to see a doctor and have a check up,because no one knows what is happening to her breasts.

She was sleeping down on a mattress and her baby with her when we came in, they were both surrounded with all stuffs, like cups,clothes,jerrycans,and,you can see how genuinely poor they are. I felt my heart went out to this young teenage mother.
The father of Rita's baby is a married man and has a family of his own.




WOMAN IN CRISIS is finding out more different types of crisis that women most especially here in Uganda go through during pregnancy, before birth,during birth,and after birth. And God is just showing me how limited my understanding of the woman in crisis that He meant has been:
I thank God so much for showing me this beautiful teenage mother in her sorrow state and positioning me for this.By the grace of God,WOMAN IN CRISIS,is going to help Rita get all her treatment and see to it that her precious baby is in good condition so that we do not loose this beautiful gift from God.

I  know by now I may be loosing the meaning and definition of the" woman in crisis",but I believe God has a beautiful purpose for each of these mothers who are going through different crisis because of their babies with a living baby or a dead baby.I know if Rita "aborted" her baby,she would still be enjoying the deceitful love of the father of her baby,but right now she is facing the worst because she made the decision to give life to her baby even as young as she is.If Saidah never gave birth to her baby her poor husband would not have abandoned her in the hospital after being asked to buy drugs for her to have her surgery started,but she decided to give life to her baby even when she knew that her husband was not able to take care of them,and if Nerima aborted her baby,she would have her bladder in place and her husband would not have to cry and beg the nurses because they didn't have money for medication,but she decided to give her baby life and though she lost her baby.
This simply says,these women are in crisis because they treasured the lives God put in their womb,and therefore decided to go all the way even when their conditions are not near any of my and your imagination,the poverty they are in would make one ask how they have survived all the way.
and now God has placed WOMAN IN CRISIS in such a position to show these precious mothers that GOD CARES FOR THEM EVEN WHEN THEY DO NOT KNOW THAT HE IS RIGHT THERE.

I took some fotos of Rita,but not sure whether I should post it,so I will post may be one half one so I don't disgust some of us who can't stand the real appearance of her chest.
