JUST ON TIME

It is Monday morning and i have to go to the hospital and spend some time with these mothers who have lost their babies and yet they are still in the same ward with those who have their babies.Yes!I leave home all smiles and set off to go and share my time with these women i have so far fallen in love with, they are not happy women, hardly give you a genuine smile, and mostly sorrowful from the inside out,you can easily feel their sorrow though they are not very free at grieving it out.
i am never sure of what to find there at the hospital because some cases are "simple" and others are very "hard"depending on where this woman in crisis is from.some times i do more of the listening and other times more of the talking, then more of the doing,.

this particular morning i was not sure of what i would find there so i prayed and left for the hospital,on my arrival i was received by this nice midwife and the in charge of the two wards i am working with .they were asking me ,where have you been?we had very serious cases, and we still have some,i was lead to those women, one had lost her mind due to the loss of her baby and was in shock, the other was not in shock of loosing her baby but in shock of not knowing how she was going to get treatment without any money and no hope for any money to come about.WOOW!
i talk to the lady who had had a mental shock and prayed for her, then moved to Nerima, the lady who had no treatment. I had over heard the husband begging the Nurse to release them because they were not going to have any treatment since they had no money.
She was sitting on her bed with a polythene paper spread out on her bed and she was wet, because her bladder was leaking throughout, and she had no money for a catheter, she had begun to smell because of that.
Nerima and her husband Were
I tried to talk to the husband to go and look for money so his wife could get the treatment,he squatted and said,i have nothing and nowhere to go,just let us go back home,so i told him we were going to get the catheter.this man asked me "what??"and before i left to go and buy the catheter the Nurse tells me that actually they didnt even have any medication for her,so she wrote a list of drugs to be purchased, and that was not enough i was told that Nerima had not even had food to eat ,believe me i was getting overwhelmed now,i looked at the nurse and she gave me a look that expressed something like "that is what i was talking about!!"So i quietly move out and got to the pharmacy to bring the catheter and drugs. In our hospitals here we run short of everything and the list gets endless, from the needle to the antibiotics and more. This cost me 96000sh which is about 39.2USdollars and then i had to get her containers and book a lady from the hospital restaurant to bring her food and tea daily and one plate of food was to cost 3000sh which she needed twice a day and a flask of tea was to cost 1000sh she needed two a day the total came up to 8000sh per day about3.2USdollars a day and she was to stay for two weeks, but after praying for her,she stayed for only 6days,so i went to the hospital everyday until she was discharged and i had to call her and check on her since she was discharged with a catheter because of her bladder..Nerima gave her life to Christ while i was attending to her at the hospital and she confessed that she wanted to join me on my side of salvation from her side of islamic,it was the best time in my moments with her.I will keep you updated about Nerima's life.
Nerima, and Were and Lyzette,at the hospital.
thank you all who stood to contribute to this ministry,i am in the field yes,but we are ministering together because you gave, thank you for giving.
the challenge i found was that according to my budget,i was supposed to use 100000sh per month which is about40.8USdollars,but i have had a case like this thrice whereby the needs are just too much and i have ended up using that amount just in one day!weeeeeeeeeew!

in Nerima's case i used about42.3 US dollars , just for the first day and i had to take her on for the whole week whereby i had to include my movements and communications, calling the nurses and Nerima's husband .woow! I get overwhelmed,I sometimes try not to get involved in all the details of these mothers but i am aware of the needs, that is my biggest challenge, trying to work within my budget yet being able to help as much as i can!
Nevertheless,i am so grateful to God and to you all who are standing with me in this cause of this crying mother!she went home but she still needs treatment so that her bladder can function well again.
